WegLabs is an independent app studio based in Germany. WegLabs builds and operates mobile applications including WayGermany and Desk Workout, as well as related websites and support pages.

This Privacy Policy applies to WegLabs websites and WegLabs mobile apps, including WayGermany and Desk Workout, unless a separate privacy notice is provided inside a specific app or platform listing.

The apps may use third-party infrastructure and app-store services to provide login, sync, purchases, analytics, crash reporting, notifications, and support.

Depending on the app and the features you use, we may process the following categories of data:

• App profile and settings, such as selected language, selected migration path, preferences, saved sessions, or app configuration.

• Purchase and entitlement information, such as premium access status, purchased packs, AI credit packs, or subscription/lifetime access state.
• Support messages and communications you send to WegLabs.
• Technical data, such as device type, operating system, app version, crash logs, diagnostics, and basic analytics events.

4. WayGermany-specific data

WayGermany may process data needed to provide migration-planning features, including selected pathway, checklist progress, before/after arrival phase, interview practice progress, reminders, notes, and AI guidance context.

WayGermany is an independent informational app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to any German government authority. The app does not provide legal advice.

5. Desk Workout-specific data

Desk Workout may process data needed to provide recovery and posture-related app features, including selected body areas, completed sessions, active days, saved sessions, recent history, program progress, and app preferences.

Desk Workout is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, or cure medical conditions. The app provides general movement, stretching, mobility, and posture recovery guidance.

6. How we use information

We use information to:

• Provide and maintain app features.
• Sync app data across devices when you sign in.
• Manage premium access, purchases, and entitlements.
• Send reminders or notifications when enabled by the user.
• Improve app stability, performance, and user experience.
• Respond to support, privacy, and data deletion requests.
• Comply with legal, tax, platform, security, and fraud-prevention obligations.

7. Legal bases

Where applicable under GDPR, we may process personal data based on one or more of the following legal bases:

• Performance of a contract, when processing is needed to provide app features or premium access.
• Consent, for optional features such as notifications or certain analytics where consent is required.
• Legitimate interests, such as improving app reliability, preventing misuse, and responding to support requests.

8. Third-party services

WegLabs apps and websites may use trusted third-party services. Depending on the product and platform, these may include:

• Firebase or similar cloud services for authentication, database, sync, analytics, crash reporting, or messaging.
• Supabase or similar backend services for data storage, authentication, or app configuration.
• Google Play and Apple App Store services for app distribution, purchases, subscriptions, testing, and entitlement verification.

9. AI features

Some WegLabs apps may include optional AI-assisted features, such as informational guidance, interview feedback, or contextual suggestions.

When you use AI features, the app may send your prompt, selected context, pathway, checklist step, or other information needed to generate a response to the relevant AI or backend service. Do not enter sensitive information that is not needed for the feature.

AI responses may be incomplete or inaccurate and should not replace official, legal, medical, or professional advice.

10. Notifications and reminders

Apps may offer notifications or reminders. These features are optional and can usually be managed through app settings or device settings.

Notifications may include app reminders, session continuation reminders, checklist reminders, program reminders, or product-related messages.

11. Data retention

We keep personal data only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required for legal, tax, security, platform, fraud-prevention, or accounting reasons.

When you delete your account or request data deletion, we will delete or anonymize applicable data where technically and legally possible.
